Scheduling a Consultation
Appointments & Consultations
All appointments are scheduled by calling (503) 399-0644. No referrals are needed for an initial low-cost consultation, and during the initial meeting Dr. Wilson will advise you of exactly what we can offered.
When you schedule an appointment for vein treatment at our office, approximately 45 minutes of time is set aside specifically for you. Failure to keep that appointment without calling ahead to cancel or reschedule not only detracts from our day's schedule, but it also prevents other patients wishing appointments from being seen on that day.
Cancellation Policy
While we understand that unexpected matters sometimes arise, it is a serious matter to become a "no show". Many offices require payment in advance for cosmetic procedures such as vein treatment in order to prevent "no shows." At Willamette Vein Centré, we prefer to avoid a prepayment policy. Accordingly, we have instituted the following policy to help prevent this potential problem.
Failure to Keep a Scheduled Appointment
Patients who fail to keep an appointment without calling to cancel or reschedule 24 hours or more before their appointment will be subject to a non-refundable "No Show" charge of $250. Changing or canceling an appointment must be done through our receptionist. Calling after-hours the night before and leaving a message with our answering service or on an answering machine is not satisfactory.
Appointments cancelled or changed 24 hours or more before scheduled time are gladly rescheduled and are never subject to a "no show" fee.
Emergencies
We understand emergencies happen. Exceptions to the above policy can be made only through our office manager. Our office provides on-call service for emergencies, 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week.
Call (503) 399-0644 and our office will be contacted immediately.
Health Insurance Plans
Our office participates with most health insurance plans which cover certain venous surgery procedures. Covered procedures will vary with each insurance company -- our office staff will assist you in determining eligibility. Patients are responsible for deductibles, co-payments and remaining balances. Patients also have the option of paying office and surgical fees in advance and then receiving their insurance reimbursement check directly from the insurance company.
Financing
Most medical insurance plans will not usually cover cosmetic procedures. Our office is able to assist you with a financing program for elective medical procedures. Our office manager would be pleased to provide you with further details.
Telephone Calls to Dr. Wilson
If you have medical questions which only the doctor can answer, a message will be taken and your medical file will be given to Dr. Wilson who will return your call the same day. If your question is non-medical, a staff member will be pleased to assist you.
